Six-foot-five swingman Quevyn Winters, who spent the last year at Mack Prep (NC), has committed to Duquesne.
The one-time Baylor commit had interest from several schools, including an old offer from Saint Louis in the A-10.
Winters hasn't had the easiest road, as he had a run-in with an official in 2010. That forced him to miss a number of games during the high school season.
He spent time in Milwaukee and at Oldsmar Christian before ending up at Mack.
He's got a nice mid-range and outside jumpshot and a strong, college ready body.
This is an important get for new Dukes' coach Jim Ferry.
